Echo Dance Project
ECHO Dance explores the relationship between dance and the natural environment. Directed by choreographer Thaïs Mazur, this project began in 1999 and offers workshops, classes and performances. Utilizing shapes, sounds and elements for inspiration, workshop participants have danced in the desert, on mountain ridges and on California’s dramatic beaches. Dancers in ECHO Dance have performed in city parks and on the rocky headlands in Point Reyes National Park. The goal of ECHO Dance is to deepen the understanding of the earth by experiencing it through dance and direct physical contact with the elements.
